VERDICT

Booksmart is an intelligent coming of age teen dramedy that shows even the academics can be like the cool kids. While its thematic elements and story aren’t new by any means, filled with stereotypical characters, the chemistry of the two leads paired with the comedy and heartfelt message make for a fun filled and entertaining night before graduation. It could’ve easily become a forgettable story of its genre, but instead stands as its own strong addition.

★★★★★★★★☆☆ 8/10 – Recommend
