Hawaii Five-0 05×18 ‘Pono Kaulike’: “You’re welcome.”

Last week’s “Kuka’awale” was one of the funniest episodes of Hawaii Five-0 and “Pono Kaulike” does the exact opposite giving us the most tension-filled episode of this season, and potentially one of the best of the entire series. The team faces a barrage of problems when their past actions creep up on them. Danny and Chin are arrested for their actions in the death of Marco Reyes prompting the remainder of the team, with the help of Joe White, to race against the clock to save both team members from their biggest fears: being a cop in prison. No case of the week, but two arrests on the Five-0 team. There’s trouble in paradise in “Pono Kaulike.”

Hawaii Five-0 05×17 ‘Kuka awale’: I support gay marriage

This has got to be one of the funniest episodes of Hawaii Five-0 to date. I guess it is what you can expect when an actor from the show directs an episode. For his directorial debut Daniel Dae Kim did a phenomenal job (and he had a lot of help from some guest star power), but he like any of the actors would be surrounded by the fandom of the show. He knows what people watch for, and one of those things is the McDanno banter. So what does he do? Makes a full episode surrounding it. What a perfect way to fill our needs after weeks of next to nothing. When Steve and Danny are on their stakeout it feels like a sitcom. So much so that it needs to happen. Do it CBS. We are waiting. Oh yeah Five-0 goes after some jewel thieves in “Kuka’awale.”Read the rest at gottawatchit.com…

Hawaii Five-0 05×16 ‘Nanahu’: Don’t look back whatever you do

What is with Hawaii Five-0 and all of its guest stars this season? They are really going all out, not that I am complaining. Apologies for both the late review and the lack of Five-0 recapping last week, life got a bit hectic. Don’t fret because this weekend will be filled with back-to-back Five-0 goodness! This week Five-0 works with an ATF agent to locate a serial arsonist on the island as Danny and Amber take in a romantic get away that is interrupted by someone from her past. Meanwhile Steve and Grover prepare for a charity golf tournament. Surprisingly all of the stories this week were interesting while the right amount of action and comedy. Five guest stars this week, did you recognize them all? Five-0 is on the case in “Nanahu.”Read the rest at gottawatchit.com…

Hawaii Five-0 05×14 ‘Powehiwehi’: Head out on the highway

Okay again with the lack of Danny? This is becoming a recurring theme and I do not like it one bit. The McDanno dynamic is what makes this show and yet there has been less and less of it. Come on already! Give us what we want to see. Anyway, on Hawaii Five-0the team investigates a criminal that escaped from Oahu prison, only he doesn’t remember. This in turn reveals a larger operation with a bigger fish to fry. Meanwhile Kono and Adam are dealing with issues in their relationship. Five-0 is on the case in “Powehiwehi.”Read the rest at gottawatchit.com…

Hawaii Five-0 05×13 ‘La Poino’: Oh, no! Not the bees!

Dam that was unexpected. Such an intense episode. A patient with a volatile illness is brought to the island by Joe, but a team of kidnappers take the virus carrier. Steve and the team must retrieve the patient before the kidnappers can weaponize the virus. Hawaii Five-0 certainly knows how to ramp up the intensity. Five-0 is on the case in “La Poino.”Read the rest at gottawatchit.com…

Hawaii Five-0 05×12 ‘Poina ole’: “That’s why I love you, babe.”

A neurosurgeon is assassinated moments before performing surgery on a Five-0 adversary while the team uncovers the truth behind a disappearance forty years ago. Meanwhile Steve’s caris stolen sending him on a chase to find one of his most treasured possessions. Sounds like a lot, but not really much happened this week. One thing is for certain there is a lot of family bonding this episode, which Hawaii Five-0 is well known for. Five-0 is on the case in “Poina ‘Ole.”Read the rest at gottawatchit.com…

Hawaii Five-0 05×11 ‘Ua’aihue’: Shrimpapalooza

Uh excuse me, but since when is no one aware of Danno? I mean not even a mention of his absence? I find that hard to believe.Hawaii Five-0 brings us some culture and twisting narratives this week when a tourist is killed after being the patsy for a stolen Van Gogh. The team has to dive into the world of black market art as they try to track down their suspect, only the murderer has more on his agenda. Meanwhile Kamekona faces off against world renowned chefs in Shrimpapalooza with the help of Steve’s friend Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto. Lots of guest stars this week including one LOST alumni, and Five-0 is on the case in “Ua’aihue.”
