FULL REVIEW: CONTAINS SPOILERS
The Perfect Date is a fun yet familiar romantic comedy that fits exactly into their Netflix mold. The film lacks the substance it hopes to have and relies more on the charisma of its cast. Thankfully, the charisma is evident as the characters are enjoyable in this simplistic, predictable plot. It lacks the romantic aspects, but the subtle comedy, relatability and positive message make for a lighthearted story. It may not be Netflix’s best rom-com, but it continues a trend of enjoyable couch-bound entertainment.
