VERDICT

Dumplin’ is a strong family dramedy that takes a necessary look at the state of the culture surrounding body image. While the story drags with some underdeveloped characters, the charismatic cast is able to lift them up in a very heartfelt story about family and acceptance. This film is one of the better dramedy stories that Netflix has to offer.
