We are meant for something bigger.

DIRECTED BY: Alexander Payne
WRITTEN BY: Alexander Payne and Jim Taylor
STARRING: Matt Damon, Hong Chau and Christoph Waltz

SYNOPSIS: A social satire in which a man realizes he would have a better life if he were to shrink himself to five inches tall, allowing him to live in wealth and splendor. (IMDB)

Downsizing is an engaging sci-fi drama that squanders a larger-than-life premise on a small-minded story. While it has great world-building and phenomenal performances, the story is tonally all over the place and never really finds itself leaving a lot to be desired.
